The people behind the platform.
Emma Murray and Giana Schena were two PhD candidates that became friends over their shared interest in bioinformatic analysis.

Giana was the student with sequenced exosome data, who had no clue what to do for analysis. She wanted to find out which genes were differentially expressed between her samples to see if her experimental treatment worked.
Emma was the bioinformatics expert who, it seemed, could effortlessly analyze Giana’s sequencing data to help extract meaning from it.
Shortly after the COVID lockdowns, these two PhD candidates found themselves contemplating:
What if you didn’t have an Emma to analyze your data?
What if vast omics data could be effortlessly transformed into actionable insights with a mere click?
What if these solutions extended beyond academia, benefitting health organizations and everyday people?
Emma and Giana knew they were on to something big. Something that could change the way researchers could relate to and interpret their data. The folks at Rajant Health Incorporated (RHI) agreed. And thus, Trovomics was born.

With a PhD in Biomedical Sciences and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, Giana represents the biologists and researchers Trovomics and Rajant Health Incorporated (RHI) cater to. In her free time, Giana can be found gardening, reading sci-fi / fantasy, or occasionally embarking on far-flung travels.

Senior Vice President of Operations | Trovomics | RHI
Emma has a PhD in Biomedical Sciences: Molecular and Cellular Biosciences with a focus in Bioinformatics and Heart Failure. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Bioinformatics with a minor in Italian. Emma loves to learn — even in her spare time. She keeps her mind active as an avid gardener, food biology & nutrition nerd, and dog-mom.
