What Does a Trovomics Consultation Look Like?

We understand the bioinformatics landscape can feel confusing and stressful due to the high learning curve (we talk more about the barriers to sequencing analysis in our blog post here). Trovomics is always available to accelerate your omics data analysis without sacrificing rigor or robustness. However, we are also dedicated to closing the gaps in knowledge about bioinformatics through easy-to-digest bioinformatics resources, so that one day you can feel confident in your own analyses. That’s why Trovomics offers 1-on-1 consultations to support you in all steps of your omics journey while using our platform.

Why schedule a consultation?

Maybe you have googled for answers or asked a friend for bioinformatics advice. Maybe you have followed tutorials or scoured publication methods. But these disparate resources may still leave you unsure of whether you’re on the right track. Your experiment and data are unique, and so will be your needs.

Having a consultation with a Trovomics expert can provide you with personalized advice and insights that are directly applicable to your goals, so you can feel self-assured as you move forward within Trovomics. And truthfully? We love helping fellow researchers. We know that no one understands or cares about your data like you do. We want to help you determine the best way to showcase your work for your next presentation or manuscript because we’ve been there and we get it.

We can help with:

  • Designing and setting-up experiments

  • Understanding analysis parameters and workflows

  • Selecting analysis parameters and workflows

  • Choosing the best visualizations for your data

  • Conducting re-analysis

  • Understanding statistics

and much more.

What can I expect during the consultation?

All our paid subscription plans include consultation hours in the first month to ensure you get the support you need as you start using Trovomics. Each session will consist of a personalized 60-minute consultation with one of our experienced computational biologists to help tackle your challenges and guide the way. We will start the process by getting to know you and your experiment. From there, we will identify your needs and objectives. We will work with you to discuss possible solutions, while providing the relevant insight or education into why one strategy may be preferred over another. By the end of the first month, we hope to have successfully addressed your concerns and answered your questions, so you can proceed with a clear and precise path forward. If any other curiosities arise, we are available for additional sessions!

Who will I meet with?

Trovomics has an in-house team of computational biologists and analysis experts. These folks are experienced in working with transcriptomics and other omics data in life sciences. To learn more about them, visit our team page.

How much does a consultation cost?

Consultation hours are a built in feature of each of our subscription plans. Up to 3 consultation hours are included during the first month of our Basic and Pro level subscription plans. Up to 10 hours are included during the first month of our Enterprise level subscriptions. Additional hours may be requested via our Support Request Form.

How do I request a consultation?

Our Support Request Form is available 24/7 to receive your request for a consultation. Simply log in to your account, go to Submit a Support Request, enter your information, and select the “1-on-1 Trovomics Consultation” option from the dropdown menu. A member of our team will be in contact with you to schedule an appointment. At the time of scheduling, information may be requested to help us get a head start.

Not sure if a consultation’s right for you? That’s ok. Trovomics also has a full service Help Center with lots of resources for you to explore on your own.
